First post - Introduction

Current Ear candy: Mosh ~ Eminem, Hades ~ Dir en grey

Hi to all those that want to read! ^____^ I'm glad to try and learn how to use this thing. It reminds me of Livejournal (LJ) and a Xanga mix. I'll probably try and play with the layout more when I have time.

My name is not really a concern, but if you guys must call me something, call me Mia. I've responded to that name for almost a decade, and it'll probably be a decade or so more that I still respond to it. How I got the name Mia? Well, back in freshman year of high school we were trying to figure out anime names we could go by. Yoroiden Samurai Troopers (aka Ronin Warriors) was my first official anime obsession, so I picked up the English name of the main heroin, Mia. Ever since, I've just kind of run with the name.

Now, eight years later, I'm no longer knee deep in the Anime obsession.....it's more like I'm neck deep into the JRock and music obsession and knee deep in Lolita. And, no matter what anyone says, I love Dir en grey. Since I've started listening to their music two years ago, I've been in love with their steady growth. And even though their looks aren't the greatest like they were during Withering to Death and Marrow of a Bone, I still love them. Their music will always continue to enchant me.

Anywho, continuing on from my Dir en grey love ramble. Come this September, I'll be 22. Good mercy, 22?! I'm old....T___T It was one thing to turn 21 and be legal to drink and do most anything, but now, 22?! Ick....it's only 8 years from 30! My crazy but awesome uncle says he's gonna get me good for my 30th. Yea, right.....I have yet to get him good for any of his birthdays!

Yes, I am a Lolita. Not full time, my budget and job won't allow it. I'm mainly into the Classical/EGA side of it, because I find the clothes more unique and beautiful. If I can embody that beauty, then I feel beautiful. I also love to cosplay.

Speaking of a job, I work at Lowe's. That place is hell on earth. It seriously is. The management is a joke. The only one that makes sense that's still around is the Operations Manager, Laura. I would not expect that store to be around much longer, because we're so far in the hole, and we can't keep employees. They've basically made it so hard on the people that were around for old management that the employees have quit or Management's fired them for the most stupidest reasons!!

The job thing though is going to be saved for another day.

School wise, I'm currently an A&E English major at Harford Community College. But, I'm looking to become a Music Business major with a Japanese minor at Belmont University in Tennessee. Why the switch? Because I love music, I love paperwork, I love managing things backstage, and I love PR work. My ultimate goal is to be in charge of Foreign/International Public Relations with a major record company in either LA or NYC (preferably Tokyo or Osaka, but that's for the future). So, hopefully, by next spring, I'll be in Belmont. Thanks to the time I had at the Broadcasting Institute of Maryland (BIM), I realized the majority of this.

I'm generally a laid-back down to earth person. But, I do have a nasty temper at times, especially if I feel like I'm being cornered.

Alright, I'm running late~ I already have a post ready for my first topic, so I'll work on that when I get back.

Ja ne minna-san!! (See you everyone!)
